Cassadaga: Volunteers drive can-do spirits

Grass-roots and volunteer efforts play a larger role in making a community viable than work by government. High costs are usually associated with a municipality when it takes on an event.

That’s not the case with those invested, which is why a small business expo at Valley Outdoors. It was organized by the Cassadaga Community and Business Alliance, in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center at Jamestown Community College. The event featured vendors from around the community, as well as prospective businesses owners and consumers became a host of the newly established village Welcome Center.

“Thank you everyone for a fun and successful small business pop-up event in Cassadaga Lakes,” said Cassadaga Community and Business Alliance founding member Kim Collins. “We were so excited to team up with Jamestown Small Business Development Center to bring this amazing opportunity to our area and our brand new Welcome Center.”

Cassadaga, a small village in the center of the county, shows a can-do spirit. The welcoming atmosphere will be evident this summer as well.
