For Team ROM, Kaden Brushaber went 4 for 4 with a double and scored 2 times, while his teammates Ashton Putney and Brady Helmer also reached base 4 times, scoring 4 runs each in the victory. Ryan Cerrie hit a triple, and scored 3 times for Team ROM. Ashton Putney and Brady Helmer shared the pitching duties, combining for 16 strikeouts.

For Team Tabone, Ryan Kelly and Owen Rush each had 2 hits and 2 runs scored during the contest. Pauly Tabone (pitcher) and Joe DiCarlantonio (catcher) played well at the end of the game for Team Tabone.

Vineyards Wednesday Night League and Ralston-Purina League

There will be a change of format starting this Wednesday Night. Both leagues will be doing a shotgun start beginning at 5:15. All golfers should be at the course by 5 p.m. Any questions you can call Bob Manning at 679-5799 or John Lakas at 679-6890 for the Wednesday Night League or Greg Bundy for the Purina League.

Fredonia schools plan girls basketball camp

The 2018 Fredonia Central School Girls Basketball Camp will be held June 25-28 in the Fredonia High School and Middle School gyms.

Cost is $105 per camper ($90 if paid by June 15, deduct $10 if five or more students from the same school attend camp and send in their applications together). Eligible girls are students entering grades 3-12.

Are you ready for a fun-filled week of learning the skills that will make you a better basketball player? If you want to have fun, improve your skill level, play games and compete in daily competitions, this is the camp for you.

Each player is expected to arrive between 8:30 and 8:55 a.m. Camp will start promptly at 9 a.m. Athletes are expected to bring their own lunch. There will be cold pop, water and Gatorade for sale at lunch time and at the end of the day. All athletes should have their ride pick them up at 3:30 p.m. All parents are welcome to come to the awards ceremony at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 28.

Registration continues for One Ball Tournament

The 6th Annual One Ball Tournament for Testicular Cancer returns to Willis Hale Town Park in Frewsburg on June 23. The whiffle ball tournament for ages 21 and over begins at 9:30 a.m. with 24 teams playing games on six fields. Team registration is open at www.1ball4tc.com, and teams are guaranteed three games. Entry fees are $120 per team. Each player receives a One Ball Tournament t-shirt, and teams can choose to enter one of three divisions, “Competitive,” “Intermediate” or “We’re Here for the Party.”

Multiple raffles will be offered, and a barbeque chicken dinner ($9 each) will be served by VMW Chapter 20 beginning at 11 a.m. until gone. All proceeds benefit One Ball Foundation, a Jamestown based non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about testicular cancer and help support those in treatment.
