For Team ROM, six different players scored during the contest, including Ben Seigel, Brennan Lincoln, and Jeffry Sayers. Ryan Cerrie, Brady Helmer and Ashton Putney shared the pitching duties, combining for 14 strikeouts while each pitching 2 innings.
For Team Pucci’s, Keegan Whitfield scored twice, and Jameson Quinn scored the other run in the tightly contested game.

United Way’s Golf Classic takes place Friday, at Tri-County
The United Way of Northern Chautauqua County invites you to its fifth annual Golf Classic, Friday, June 15, at Tri-County Country Club, 540 Route 39, Forestville. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost is $125 per person — includes 18 holes of golf, cart and greens fee, tee gift, lunch and dinner. All proceeds benefit the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, 13 community partners, and impact over 24 programs. Midget football, cheerleading signups June 16
Signups for Fredonia midget football and cheerleading are June 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the pavilion at 42 Clinton Ave. Participants must be from ages 8 to 13 (must turn 8 before Aug. 1). Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate if he or she will be participating for the first time.
Fredonia State youth soccer camp June 24-28
The Fredonia State Blue Devils will be hosting a soccer camp for kids from Sunday, June 24 to Thursday, June 28. The camp will be held for ages 4-16 for all boys and girls. 2nd Annual Pitching for Paws Co-Ed Softball Tournament set for July 28
Pitching for Paws is holding it’s 2nd Annual Pitching for Paws Co-Ed Softball Tournament on Saturday, July 28 in Dunkirk. Registration is $25 per player and team registration deadline is June 29. There is a 10 team limit, so register early to get in! The rescues will be joining us and bringing out some of their adoptable pets for you to meet. Proceeds will benefit Lakeshore Humane Society, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, Sadie’s Safe Harbor Canine Rescue and City of Buffalo Animal Shelter. Gowanda softball tournament is June 30
GOWANDA – Gowanda Recreation will open their new Gateway Park softball field with a men’s slow pitch double elimination tournament on Saturday, June 30. Silver Creek Kiwanis to hold charity golf event
SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Kiwanis Club plans a day of friendly competition Friday, June 29, while helping the children of Northern Chautauqua County, with the 23rd Annual Charity Golf tournament. It will be held at Tri County Country Club. The day will include a continental breakfast, golf, lunch, appetizers and prizes. Check in is from 7:45-8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., rain or shine. The format is a four man scramble.

The Kiwanis Club supports children in the communities of Silver Creek, Forestville, Sheridan, Irving, and the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation. Their work is funded solely through fundraisers and contributions. It is the goal of the club to continue to have a meaningful impact on our community’s children.
Dunkirk’s Football 101 camp announced
The Dunkirk school district’s Community Education is offering Football 101 for kids from elementary school through eighth grade this summer.
This camp, set for July 16-20, will help your child learn the basics of football while still having fun. The camp will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day.

Black Knight Hall of Fame inductees, tourney set
SILVER CREEK — The 2018 Black Knight Hall of Fame has been announced. Inductees are Dan Bradley, Chris Perry, Pete Stockunas, Paul Mangano and Larry Barreca Sr. (posthumously).
