(July 17) — (U-6) King Kone beat Shur Fine, 6-0. Hunter Edson had five goals for King Kone and Liam Moore also scored.

Roy G Biv had the victory over Lula Roe, 2-1. Scoring for Roy G Biv was Brayden Beichner and Brody Beichner. Scoring for Lula Roe was Noah Reynolds with one goal.

(U-8) Barney’s Hoof Trimming topped Jamestown Macadam, 2-0. Scoring for Barney’s was Caleb Anderson with two goals. Goalies for Barney’s were Carter Furman, Jaidyn Briggs, Gemma Andersen and Caleb Anderson for the shutout.

Park Church defeated Homestead Stables, 3-0. Scoring for Park Church was Alicyn Reed, Madison Hinton and Jaydyne Crowell.

(U-11) Library Bookworms tied KCR, 2-2. Scoring for Library Bookworms was Breonna Hopkins and Brianna Myers. Hailey Myers scored twice for KCR.

SKM had the victory over Bethany Camp, 8-2. Scoring for SKM was Emiley Anderson with eight goals (2 assists by Jackson Crowell). Scoring for Bethany Camp was Connor Main (assist Madilyn Sorber) and Aiden Testa.

(U-16) MK Mustangs tied Southern Tier Land Surveying, 0-0.

Gerry Free Methodist had the victory over Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit, 3-1. Scoring for Gerry Free Methodist was Gregory Holmberg (assist Drake Pierce), Johnathon Brockelbank, and Sarah Meder (assist Drake Pierce). Scoring for Southern Chautauqua FCU was Noah Abram.

Fredonia fall baseball, softball sign-ups July 23

Sign-ups for Fredonia fall baseball and softball will be held July 25 and 26 at the Ed Eagan Complex in Fredonia from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Any Majors/Wright League players from this year or entering next year are eligible. Cost is $30. Games will begin Aug. 12 and run until Sept. 30.

Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tourney set for Aug. 25

The Tenth and Final Gary Tripp Memorial Golf Tournament (GTMGT) plans are progressing and on the First Tee. The 2018 tournament is set for Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Vineyards golf courses in Fredonia. Registration starts at 9 a.m. The shotgun start is at 10 a.m.

The registration fee of $65 per golfer includes food on the course and dinner at the Kosciuszko Club and a golfer’s gift. Captains’ foursome forms are being sent out the week of July 2.

The deadline to sign up is Monday, Aug. 6. Contact Katie or Pat at 366-1044. Extra foursome forms and sponsor forms will be available at the K Club.

Monies raised from past tournaments have been used to establish an annual Gary Tripp Colorectal Cancer Research fund at Roswell Park, an annual GTMGT Dunkirk High School Scholarship and an annual donation to the GTMGT SUNY Fredonia Scholarship.

DHS pool lists programs for this summer

The Dunkirk High School pool is proud to advertise the following programming for the summer 2018 session:

— Aquasize: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m., July 9 – August 22. 14 sessions — $52 for whole session or $4 individually.

— Morning Swim: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 a.m., July 9 – August 22. 14 sessions — $26 for whole session or $2 individually.

— Evening Swim: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 -7 p.m. July 10 – August 23. 14 sessions — $26 for whole session or $2 individually.

— Deep Water Aquasize: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 -7 p.m., July 10 – August 23. 14 sessions — $52 for whole session or $4 individually.

— Family Open Swim: Monday through Friday, 3-4 p.m., July 9 – August 24. $2 per person per session. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Limited to 60 swimmers. No food or drink in the pool, balcony or locker room area allowed. Outside pool toys, athletic equipment, balls, noodles are prohibited

— Junior Swim Team: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m., July 9 – August 22. 14 sessions — $52 for whole session or $4 individually.

SUNY Fredonia hockey camp for kids Aug. 27-30

The SUNY Fredonia Hockey Camp for boys and girls ages 5-12 will be held Aug. 27-30, 2018. It runs from Monday through Thursday from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in the Steele Hall Ice Arena.
