Parent/Athlete Sports Meeting to be held at Forestville on Tuesday, Aug. 7th

All Forestville Central School student-athletes interested in participating in the modified, junior varsity, or varsity athletic programs being offered (including the combination sport teams with Silver Creek/others) during the 2018-2019 school year should attend the mandatory athletic code/risk video presentation on Tuesday, August 7 at 6 p.m. in the High School auditorium. Parent or legal guardian must accompany all athletes.

The Athletic Handbook/Code will be discussed and all required athletic participation forms will be available for completion during the presentation. Athletes who attend and complete the required forms will be eligible for the entire 2018-2019 school year. Video/Code paperwork must be on file prior to the start of participation in any/all programs.

Coaches will also be on hand to offer additional information specific to their programs. If you cannot attend the meeting, you must contact FCS at arrange a time to receive the necessary paperwork.

Sunset Bay Experience set for Aug. 18

IRVING — On Saturday, Aug. 18, multiple events will take place as part of the Sunset Bay Experience.

A 5k run and walk will start at 9:30 a.m., with registration at 8 a.m. The cost is $25 the day of registration, with a student rate of $10.

After the 5k run/walk, guests are invited to enjoy a craft show, a live band, and food and drink specials. Several raffles will also take place during the event.

All proceeds will benefit the Sunset Bay Volunteer Fire Company.
