Fredonia Little League registration is today
Fredonia Little League will have registration for the 2019 season at the Fredonia High School cafeteria on Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9-11:30 a.m. Any child who will be four years old, or older, by Aug. 31 of this year and lives or attends school in the Fredonia Central school district is eligible. Dunkirk Little League registration is Sunday
The Dunkirk Little League will hold registration for the upcoming year starting on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 2-5 p.m.,Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 from 2-5 p.m. All registrations will be held at the American Legion Post 62 located at 211 Central Av Dunkirk. All kids wishing to play must register. Ages 4-12 for boys and girls and any boy who would like to play senior baseball ages 13-16. All new players must bring a copy of the original birth certificate. Any questions check out the league’s Facebook page or contact League President Gary Haase at 679-6929.
Lake Shore 3-on-3 basketball tourney is March 9
The Lake Shore High School Academy of Business and Finance will be sponsoring its annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 9. The double elimination tournament will be held at the Lake Shore High School gymnasium, 959 Beach Road, Angola with staggered start times beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.
Registration fees are $140 for 4-person adult teams, $100 for 4-person high school teams and $60 for 4-person youth (9-12 year old) and middle school teams. The registration fee includes an event jersey for each player. Brackets include Open Men, Open Women, High School Boys, High School Girls, Middle School Boys, Middle School Girls, Youth Boys and Youth Girls. Register online at www.lakeshorecsd.org.
The academy will also be hosting a chicken barbecue at the event — the cost is $10 per meal. Meals may be prepurchased — information is available with registration information on the district’s website listed above. Basket drawings will also be held. Dunkirk baseball to host Comedy Night March 9
The Dunkirk baseball team will be holding their annual Comedy Night on Saturday, March 9 at The Clarion Hotel at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. There will be a cash bar and a light menu available.
