Women’s Doubles bowling tournament is today

The Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association’s fourth annual Women’s Doubles Handicap Tournament is at Chick’s Lanes in Angola today. Shifts will be scheduled at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The tournament is certified through USBC and is open to all women who are members of the DLBA. Entry forms will be available at Chick’s Lanes, Lucky Lanes, K&L Lanes and Hanover Lanes. Tim Geiger to be honored by Catt. County HOF

Fredonia resident and 1971 Gowanda Central School graduate Tim Geiger will be honored and inducted into the Cattaraugus County Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, March 30. Geiger lettered in three sports for the Panthers and also an avid distance runner having participated in numerous road races throughout Western New York over the past forty years. The 17th annual banquet and induction ceremony will take place at the Cattaraugus Firemen’s Club, 150 South Street in Cattaraugus beginning at 6 p.m. Friends and the long distance running community are invited to attend.

Utility League is reorganizing to Tuesday nights

The former Monday Night Utility League at Hillview, of two years ago, is reorganizing. This year it will be at Hillview on Tuesday nights. Currently there are 18 former league members that have committed to this year. The league will continue with a treasurer, scorekeeper and food. There are openings for new members. Vineyards Golf Course to form new golf league

A new women’s golf league is in the process of being organized at the Vineyards Golf Course. Any teams interested in playing please call Pam Allessi at 680-2076 for more information.
