Chautauqua Lake’s Fancher Chair defeated Brocton’s Casale Plumbing 15-6 in Minor Legaue Machine Pitch baseball. Chautauqua Lake’s batting leaders were: Johnathan Barnes, Ryker Ellis, Liam Mulkins, Parker Wellman and Mason Muscato. Brocton’s hitting standouts were: Aria Bentham, Cadence Nowak, Ryder Carlton, Hunter Edson and Neil Bundy.

Gene Andolina Golf League

The Gene Andolina Golf League recently played at Vineyards Golf Course. Low scratch scores were had by John Bongiovanni (35), Robert Calph (36), Kevin Jasinski (36), Dan Alessi (37), Greg Catalano (38), Sam Allesi (39), Doug Grace (39) and Phil Kleeberger (39).

Low handicap scores were had by: Paul Trusso (30), Doug Grace (30), John Bongiovanni (31), Dan Alessi (32), Mark Gugino (32), Walt Kolba (33), Dave Polechetti (34), Phil Kleeberger (34), Sam Allesi (35), Smokey Gloss (35), Ron Joy (35), Dave DeJoe (35), Bob Calph (36), Greg Catalano (36), Kevin Jasinski (36) and Joe Bifaro (36).

Scratch skins were had by Robert Calph on No. 3, Dan Alessi on No. 5, Greg Catalano on No. 7 and Mike Rosario on No. 9. Handicap skins were had by Walt Kolba on No. 1, Mark Gugino on No. 3 and Mike Rosario on No. 9.

Closest to the pin was Pete Criscione on No. 5 and Ron Joy on No. 9.

Vineyards Golf Course Informal Pairs League

The Vineyards Golf Course informal pairs league will begin this Friday. The league will take place on Friday’s starting June 7 until August 30. Tee off is at 4 p.m., light dinner to follow. For more information call 716- 952-7236.

The Bella’s Women’s League starts June 13

The Bellas Women’s League at Vineyards Golf Course will begin their 2019 season on Thursday, June 13. The league has moved to Thursday mornings name draw at 9:30 a.m., tee offs begin at 10 a.m. Join at any time, no partner needed. All skill levels are welcome. Kiwanis Club Charity Golf Tournament is June 28

On Friday, June 28, the Silver Creek Kiwanis Club is seeking participants for its 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. It will be held at Tri-County Country Club in Forestville. The day will include a continental breakfast, golf, lunch, appetizers and prizes. Check in is from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m., rain or shine. The format is a four-man scramble.

The Kiwanis Club supports children in the communities of Silver Creek, Forestville, Sheridan, Irving and the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation. Their work funded solely through fundraisers and contributions. It is the goal of this club to continue to have a meaningful impact on our community’s children.

Entry fee is $110 ($95 if paid by June 21). Deadline to register is June 26. Numerous sponsorships, tee signage and raffle opportunities exist. Email your questions or interest to Gailmiller3@aol.com.

Anyone who is looking to join the Don Cotton Tuesday Night Golf League at the Vineyards Golf Course (back nine) please call the clubhouse at 672-7888.

Fredonia basketball camps announced

The Fredonia Central School Girls Basketball Camp will be held June 27-29 at the Fredonia High School and Middle School gymnasiums from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Fredonia Central School Boys Basketball Camp will be held July 1-3 at the Fredonia High School and Middle School gymnasiums from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Due to the construction project at the main campus, each camp will be for three days this year, instead of four days like years past.

Cost for each camp is $80 at the door, or $70 if paid by June 15. The camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 3 through 12. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt.

Each athlete is expected to arrive by 9 a.m. and are expected to bring their own lunch.
