Inaugural Dunkirk Historical Museum Vintage Golf Outing is on Saturday

The inaugural Dunkirk Historical Museum Vintage Golf Outing is on Saturday at The Vineyards Golf Course. The event is a two-man scramble format with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. It’s a vintage theme, so wear vintage attire. Vintage clubs will be provided on the longest drive and closest to the pin holes.

There will be a continental breakfast and lunch served after the outing at the club house. Prizes will be given out along with the best dressed and a 50/50 raffle. Every golfer will receive a complimentary one-year membership to the museum.

You can sign up for the outing at the museum or the golf course. Walk-ons are welcome. The cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-members.

Dunkirk Football mattress sale set for Aug. 25

The Dunkirk Marauder football team is holding their annual mattress sale on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Located in the auxiliary gym in Dunkirk High School, name brand items are on display and for sale at a huge discount. Free lay-a-way and delivery is available.

As a result of the community’s generosity over the last five years, Dunkirk Football has been able to pay for camps, transportation, championship jackets, senior jackets, fitness memberships and more, which has helped the program become very successful. Dunkirk coach Mike Sarratori thanks the community for all of its help and support.

Al Tech Reunion Golf Tourney set for Sept. 21

Plans are being made for the Al Tech Reunion Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Cable Hollow Golf Course. The cost is $60, which includes 18 holes with cart at Cable Hollow Golf Course food at the turn, dinner at Russell Joy Park Pavilion provided by Super Duper catering. There will be a separate fee of $5 for skins and closest to the pin’s, payable at the course. Annual Grape Belt Open, Saturday, at Pinehurst

The third annual Grape Belt Open is set for Saturday, Aug. 10 at Pinehurst Golf Club in Westfield. The event is a four-person scramble format and includes refreshments, dinner and awards. All proceeds benefit the Grape Discovery Center, allowing the center to continue and operate as a non-profit, encourage tourism and educate all about the grape growing history in the Lake Erie Region. The Relief Zone 5K/10K/Kidz Fun Run Aug. 24

The Relief Zone (TRZ) fundraising committee is holding its seventh annual 5K/10K/Kidz Fun Run on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Frewsburg Firemen’s Grounds, 4 Main St., Frewsburg. The race will begin at 9 a.m. followed by awards at 10:30 a.m. Interested participants can register online or on race day. The cost to participate is $10 for Kidz Fun Run, $20 for the 5K, and $25 for the 10K. This fee includes a T-shirt for runners pre-registered by Aug. 16.
