Thursday Night doubles league meets tonight

The Thursday Night doubles will be have a meeting tonight at 7:30, at Lucky Lanes. All returning bowlers and any one wishing to bowl should attend. League will start on Thursday, Sept. 12. Any questions please call Gary Haase 679-6929 or Lucky Lanes 673-1375.

Fifth annual Community Hockey Game is Friday

On Friday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m., Community Through Hockey will hold it’s fifth annual Community Hockey Game at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown. This year’s game will benefit 21-month old Luca Carlson from Falconer, who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome or an undeveloped heart. Admission is free and will feature a basket raffle, large item raffle and 50/50. Since 2015, over $22,000 has been raised for area families and organizations. Jamestown Knights 2020 baseball tryouts set for Sept. 15, 29

The Jamestown Knights will be holding 2020 spring/summer travel baseball tryouts open to all players ages 8-12 (as of April 30, 2020) in the Chautauqua County area.

Players born on April 30 or earlier will be considered one year older than players born May 1 or later. The Knights program teaches and instills a love for the game that exhibits the best of what the players can be. Knights players, coaches and organization strive to continuously improve in all aspects of the game with the goal of building the ultimate baseball and experience.

The Knights program includes team gear, including uniforms, helmets and bat bags, as part of the camp fee. Tryouts will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at Bergman park as well as on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m. at Bergman Park. Al Tech Reunion Golf Tourney set for Sept. 21

Plans are being made for the Al Tech Reunion Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Cable Hollow Golf Course. The cost is $60, which includes 18 holes with cart at Cable Hollow Golf Course, food at the turn, and dinner at Russell Joy Park Pavilion provided by Super Duper catering. There will be a separate fee of $5 for skins and closest to the pins, payable at the course. Send check payable to Rick Bellando, 24 Westerly Dr. Fredonia, NY 14063, no later than Saturday, Sept. 7.
