Announcements

Sale of ‘Pink The Rink’ jerseys has started

The sale of 2020 Pink The Rink jerseys is underway for Fredonia State’s Sat., Feb. 8 men’s hockey game vs. Potsdam at Steele Hall Ice Arena.

A donation of $250 will buy a jersey and allow the donor to place the name of a cancer survivor on the nameplate. Instead of having their own names on their jerseys, each of the Blue Devils will take to the ice that night representing the survivor whose jersey they will be wearing. The donor will receive the jersey from the player during an on-ice ceremony following the game.

Fans wishing to make a purchase can contact Blue Devil Head Coach Jeff Meredith by phone at (716) 673-3334 or via e-mail at meredith@fredonia.edu.

The 2020 game represents the 14th straight season Fredonia State hockey has recognized cancer survivors at a home game. Purchase of game-worn jerseys began in 2008 and has formed the bulk of the program’s $91,000 donation toward breast cancer research by the American Cancer Society.
