Family Martial Arts Center to hold Karate

and Development Program

The Karate Kidz Zone and the Family Martial Arts Center are joining with Chautauqua County to offer a Karate and Development Program. The program includes a free uniform. The Family Martial Arts Center, located at 355 Central Ave., Fredonia, offers classes from ages 2 and up. There will be two sessions: Session 1 is Dec. 9-14; Session 2 is Dec. 16-21. Classes at the Family Martial Arts Center for ages 7 and up are on Mondays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 6-6:50 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Classes at the Karate Kidz Zone for ages 2-6 are on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11-11:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

NorthLake sponsors Christmas Lights Tour 2019

Area travelers are invited to visit the Niagara Falls USA Christmas Lights Festival, including dinner on-your-own at Cracker Barrel, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, via Niagara Scenic Coach. The tour, sponsored by NorthLake Family Recreation Center, will depart from the NorthLake Parking Lot at 38 Nichols Avenue in Westfield at 3:30 p.m., with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by a tour of the Festival of Lights.

Estimated return time is 10 p.m. Cost for the trip is $36 per person. Checks may be made payable to NorthLake Family Recreation Center and mailed to PO Box 334, Westfield, NY 14787, with payment due by Friday, Dec. 6.
