Softball umpires rules classes begin Jan. 29

The Chautauqua County Softball Umpires Association has announced the formation of a rules instruction class for anyone interested in umpiring high school softball games. Classes will be held at Cassadaga Valley Central School from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning Jan. 29 for a period of five weeks. Forestville alumni basketball game Feb. 1

There will be a Forestville High School alumni basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Forestville High School. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the boys game starting at 6 p.m. At halftime of the boys game, the girls will play half of a game. There will be a free-throw competition afterwards for all participants.
