Chautauqua Tennis Club Open House Jan. 26
The Chautauqua Tennis Club will be hosting a New Member Open House on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 from 12:30-1 p.m. At 1 p.m. there will be an exhibition match. Come and join us for an afternoon of fun and refreshments. Learn about this well-kept secret where you can play tennis during the winter months right here in your own backyard. Members will be available to answer questions and membership forms will be available. The club is located at Floral Hall on the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds. Forestville alumni basketball game Feb. 1
There will be a Forestville High School alumni basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Forestville High School. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the boys game starting at 6 p.m. At halftime of the boys game, the girls will play half of a game. There will be a free-throw competition afterwards for all participants. Cattaraugus County Sports Hall of Fame
nominations due Feb. 1
The 18th Annual Cattaraugus County Sports Hall of Fame banquet is set for Saturday, March 28 at the Cattaraugus Firemen’s Club beginning at 6 p.m. The cost for tickets remains at $25 per person. Another sellout crowd is expected.
Nominations are now being sought for this year’s class of inductees. Candidates for induction must have a minimum of twenty years of combined experience as a high school, college or amateur all-star caliber athlete, youth, high school and/or college coach, game official and sports administrator. The committee is still looking for nominations from Portville, Ellicottville, Randolph, Salamanca, Hinsdale, Allegany-Limestone and West Valley.
