Fredonia (7-2) closed out its CCAA girls tennis season with a 5-0 drubbing of Dunkirk Wednesday afternoon at Fredonia High School.

Georgie Gens, Bernie Gens and Selin Arnavut won first through third singles, respectively while Chelsea Vianese and Jill Valvo were victorious in first doubles. The team of Abbey Zents and Caryn Mackowiak took home the win in second doubles.

“Everybody played well and it was a great end of the season with three seniors ending the season on a great note,” Fredonia coach Lisa Johnston noted of her three seniors Georgie Gens, Zentz and Mackowiak.

Georgie Gens defeated Hannah Osar, 6-0, 6-0, Bernie Gens topped Megan Levan, 6-0, 6-0, and Arnavut took care of Rebecca Banach, 6-1, 6-0. In the doubles matches, Vianese and Valvo dropped Bella Surma and Sierra Delcamp, 6-0, 6-2 while Zentz and Mackowiak cruised past Hannah Saye and Gabi Loeb, 6-1, 6-3.
