Maple Grove tops Forestville, Silver Creek

FORESTVILLE — The Maple Grove Red Dragons (12-0) took home the Division 2 West league title in a match at Tri-County Country Club against Silver Creek (5-5) and Forestville (7-3).

Maple Grove defeated Forestville, 31.5-23.5, and Silver Creek, 32-22, on the front nine set at par-36.

Silver Creek also defeated Forestville, 27.5-25.5, on the linx.

The medalist on the day for the Red Dragons was AJ Putt, who shot a 41 on the day.

Putt led the pack with Nick Brown (44), Ben Lockwood (46), Drew Kelemen (51) and Mike Derby (64) to round out the top shooters for the Red Dragons.

Connor Daniels (44), Zack Rybak (46), Andrew Hill (53) and Chris Pagano (56) topped the scorecard for Silver Creek.

Top shooters for Forestville were Lewis Markham (46), Troy Torsell (50) , Brock Ricketts (50), Phil Narraway (57) and Hector West (58).

Falconer 28.5,

Fredonia 26.5

Falconer grinded out a tight win on the linx of Shorewood Country Club, defeating Fredonia, 28.5-26.5, in boys high school golf.

Medalists on the day were David Allen (Falconer) and Christian Michalski (Fredonia), both of whom each shot 47’s on the par-36 course.

Allen led Falconer’s top five along with Evan Reynolds (54), Grant Cheney (56), Austin Buffone (58) and Klayton Campbell (59).

Top shooters for Fredonia were Michalski (47), Ryan Thompson (50), Devin Szopinski (58), Alex Nytz (58) and Jason Pencek who had a 70.

Chautauqua Lake 36, Cassadaga Valley 19

Cassadaga Valley 33.5, Sherman 18.5

CASSADAGA — The Chautauqua Lake/Westfield golf team defeated Cassadaga Valley by a score of 36-19 Tuesday at Cassadaga Country Club’s Par 35 course.

Chautauqua Lake/Westfield’s Kole Maytum earned Medalist honors with a low round of 39. Also earning points for Chautauqua Lake/Westfield were Joey Parker (44), Justin Wiemer (44), Derek Martin (46) and Darien Swanson (49).

Titus Miller led Cassadaga Valley with a low round of 43. Tyler Pacos carded a 52, followed by Cody Lawson (58), Jakob Elder (59) and Norman Barker (61).

Also golfing at Cassadaga Country Club Monday were the Sherman Wildcats, who fell to Cassadaga Valley, 33.5-18.5.

Kyle Carpenter led Sherman with a 64, followed by Heath Reed (52) and Dylan Wagner (55).
