Lady Billies fall to Whitesboro in consolation game

SYRACUSE — The Fredonia girls basketball team fell to Whitesboro, 55-40, in the consolation game at the Bishop Ludden Tournament Saturday night.
“Overall we played better than we did (Friday),” Fredonia coach Carol Zirkle said. “Defensively, we picked it up in the second quarter and played much better defense. We did a better job of hitting the boards and getting rebounds.
Katie led the way with a team-high 18 points as well as five rebounds. Hannah Gullo scored 10 points, and Kazlin Beer had four points to go along with her team-high six rebounds, as well as three assists. Gracie Morrison and A’Cetta Farrait ripped down five rebounds apiece.
