Four Thunderbirds wrestlers won by pinning opponents. Trent Burchanowski won by fall over the Marauders’ Jeremy Sobilo in 2:38 during the 99-pound event. At 126 pounds, Chautauqua Lake’s Brendan Ramsey pinned Adam Sanchez in 3:00. Trey Hoyt took 4:38 to pin the Marauders’ Cole Golembieski in the 145-pound bout, and Ben Szymanowski of the Thunderbirds felled Dunkirk’s Jamall Gaines in 1:08 at 220 pounds.

There were two Marauders who managed pins. Alexandro Navarro got a fall on Bradley Babcock in just 27 seconds in the 170-pound bout, while Angel Caraballo pinned Chautauqua Lake’s Quinton Frederick in 1:08 during the 182-pound event.

Chautauqua Lake’s squad also includes wrestlers from the Westfield and Panama school districts, while Dunkirk’s team has wrestlers from Silver Creek and Forestville.
