NEW YORK — Dunkirk High School star athlete Emilee Hanlon competed Friday in the high jump at the New Balance Indoor Nationals Invitational event Friday in New York City.

Hanlon, a senior, finished tied for 23rd in the event, which featured 33 competitors from across the country. She had a top jump of 1.6 meters, which she made on her first attempt. The winner, Anna Hall of Littleton, Colorado, jumped 1.75 meters.

Hanlon currently holds both the indoor and outdoor New York state high school high jump titles.
