Ostrye, Forestville shut out Clymer
FORESTVILLE — The Lady Cougars’ Brooke Ostrye pitched a complete game, three-hit shutout to beat Clymer, 7-0, in a CCAA West 2 high school softball matchup Monday.
Ostrye stuck out 15 batters for Forestville (4-2, 2-0) and allowed just three singles and a walk.
“Brooke pitched really well. The defense didn’t make any errors. They played a great game,” said Brianne Hazelton, the Lady Cougars’ head coach.
Forestville’s Alison Mierzwa was 2 for 3 with a double and one run batted in. Teammate Kaitlyn Alguire was 2 for 2 with an RBI and the Lady Hornets’ Clare Kingsfield was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Clymer’s Erica Gustafson pitched five innings and struck out five batters.
Forestville has another CCAA West 2 game Wednesday at Panama.
