Chautauqua Lake shuts out Randolph

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake made a statement in the quarterfinals of the Class C sectionals, with a 16-0 victory over Randolph.
Olivia Anderson threw a complete game shutout with 11 strikeouts, while only allowing two hits and a walk. Chautauqua Lake coach Sue Teets said Anderson and her catcher, Chadelynn Johnson, “worked well together calling and throwing a fantastic game.”
Chautauqua Lake managed 17 hits in the game, highlighted by a 4-5 day from Kendra Keyser with three doubles and three runs batted in. Anderson and Lily Studley each had three hits, as Anderson finished a home run shy of the cycle. Cianna Braymiller added a double and a home run.
Chautauqua Lake now hosts Cassadaga Valley in the semifinals, Thursday.
