SPRINGVILLE — The North Collins Lady Eagles softball team (12-4, 8-2) closed its regular season Monday with a 7-2 non-league defeat of Springville.

Rebecca Cyrek pitched a complete game for the Lady Eagles win, striking out seven and allowing no hits, no earned runs and just six hits.

Bri Krawczyk of North Collins went 2 for 4, scoring two runs and driving in a run. Alexa English had a double, a run scored and three RBI while Bella Williams had a triple, two runs scored and two runs batted in for North Collins.

North Collins coach Jan Warren sounded optimistic about his team Monday as they head into the playoffs.

“They’re looking good and doing the stuff they’re supposed to be doing,” he said. “It’s nice to see them hitting the ball and taking care of the little things.”
