The Lady Renegades travel softball team soared to victory for their first Metro League Championship with a 18-11 win over the Cheektowaga Crush. The Renegades are made up of players from Fredonia, Dunkirk and Silver Creek.

The Lady Renegades secured the victory thanks to an 11-run second inning. Offensively, the team was led by Tessa Braidich with three hits and Jenna Truby with two hits. Courtney Zatorski, Emily Pacheco (double) and Laneya Olsen (double) all had one hit each.

Defensively, the Lady Renegades were led by winning pitcher Kaylee Hutchison, who gave up only four hits in the game. The defense was nearly flawless, with only one recorded error in the field.
