Pine Valley wins over Franklinville

FRANKLINVILLE — The Pine Valley Panthers boys soccer claimed a 2-0 victory over Franklinville on Thursday night.

Pine Valley dominated the game throughout, rounding up 32 shots during the game.

The Panthers got their first goal around the 12th minute when Ryan Snyder buried a feed from Jared Nobles, giving Pine Valley the 1-0 lead. From there, the Panthers kept getting shot after shot but just couldn’t capitalize.

“Franklinville played good mentally,” said Pine Valley head coach Dave Pihlblad. “They kept a lot of people in front of the net.”

Pine Valley struck again just after halftime when Bayley Finch scored a goal assisted by Dawson Chase to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead.

Mikiah Snyder was the goalkeeper for Pine Valley, tallying one save on the night.

Pine Valley (3-0) will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Jamestown to take on the Red Raiders at 7 p.m.
