Brocton tops Clymer

BROCTON — Brocton (9-6, 7-4) hosted Clymer (0-11, 0-11) in a Section VI CCAA Division 2 West softball game and got a big 14-1 victory in five innings. In a game where Clymer played as the home team, it was all Brocton in the 14-1 win for the Lady Bulldogs.
Megan Gloss was in the circle for Brocton and gave up just four hits, two walks and struck out four in five innings of work to grab the league win. Trinidy Stacy was the losing pitcher for Clymer.
The Lady Bulldogs were led offensively by Jenelle Grigelevich who went 4-for-5 with a RBI and scored three runs, Annalise Wdowiasz had two hits and two RBI, Juli Smith recorded three hits and three RBI and Angie Rexford had two hits, including a double and three RBI. Becca Linton scored the lone run for Clymer.
Brocton will finish their league play on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. when they travel to Panama.
Panama 3, Forestville 2
PANAMA — Panama (8-2, 8-2) was a 3-2 winner over visiting Forestville in CCAA Division 2 West softball action.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Maci Johnson was able to rip a single with two outs and was then sent home on another two-bagger from Ashlyn Harvey to give the Panthers a cushion.
Harvey fanned 13 and gave up three hits in the win, Johnson added a single at the plate and Marra Hovey added a double as well.
Nicole Tampion fanned 11, walked one and gave up four hits for the Hornets in the circle.
