MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua Lake Lady Thunderbirds finished their league schedule with a win over Southwestern, 3-0, on Friday at Chautauqua Lake High School. The win clinched back-to-back outright league titles for the Lady Thunderbirds.

The Lady Thunderbirds celebrated their league title on Senior Recognition Night, honoring five seniors — Olivia Anderson, Cianna Braymiller, Katelyn Fardink, Chadelynn Johnson and Kendra Keyser.

Anderson — who has said before that she likes the big stage — tossed a complete game, one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts in her final regular season home league contest after five full seasons on the varsity team. Anderson helped her own cause by going 3-for-3 at the plate. Keyser connected for two hits, a single and a double with two RBI. The lone hit for Southwestern was a single by Erin Radack.

The Lady Thunderbirds are back in action today, against Bishop Kearney from Section 5, at 11 a.m., in Mayville.
