SALAMANCA — The Fredonia Hillbillies track team competed in the Super 8 meet in Salamanca on Friday, and saw some strong performances.

For the girls, Emily Brown shined, winning the 400m hurdles with a season best time of 1:05.63. Anna Buchanan took part in the triple jump and had a jump of 31’7″ which was good for sixth place.

The boys saw three strong performances on the day. Jack Carlson took second in the 1600m with a time of 4:47.90, Oliver Madariaga was third in the 400m with a personal best time of 52.28 and Hessen Bahgat jumped 11’6″ in the pole vault, earning him fourth place.
