Gowanda boys track wins awards at Jamestown Invite

JAMESTOWN — The Gowanda High School varsity boys track and field team only had thirteen participants at the Jamestown Invitational this past Friday night, but managed to place ahead of eight other teams.

Senior Andrew Musacchio placed second in the shot put and fourth in the discus throw for the Panthers. Teammate Dominik Rodriguez also won a medal when he was the runner up in the pole vault event. The 4×800 meter relay team of Matt Booth, Jason Umlah, Christian Cook and Rodriguez recorded their best time of the year and finished eighth.

Gowanda will host Dunkirk on Tuesday at Hillis Field beginning at 4:30 p.m.
