Damen’s athletic accolades include: All-League 1st Team Defense — Section 6 Class C North; Football Weekly’s Coaches Honorable Mention; Big 30 All-Star Game charity representative. He also received the team Defensive MVP award and was selected for Honorable Mention for the All Western NY Defensive Team. During his senior year, Damen had 19 receptions over 350 yards and 45 tackles. It was Damen’s goal to break the GHS record for most interceptions set by graduate Nate Bergman, but fell short after being sidelined by an injury.

A merit roll member of the Class of 2019, Damen plans to major in Criminal Justice and hopes to attend the Sheriff’s or State Trooper Academy. Damen is the son of Sue Bettker and Steve MacLeod.
