Brocton’s Bubba Brown selected to Second Team, three other locals given Honorable Mention
Krystofiak was joined on the Honorable Mention list by Chautauqua Lake senior ace pitcher Kyler Majka. Majka, the Pitcher of the Year in CCAA Division 1 West with an ERA under 1.00, was also named Chautauqua Lake High School’s Athlete of the Year. Majka led the Thunderbirds to a thrilling upset victory over No. 1 Holland in the Section VI, Class C baseball playoffs by throwing a complete game shutout.

Brocton pitcher Ronald “Bubba” Brown led his team to the State Final Four in back-to-back seasons. Now, it appears that the rest of Western New York has finally started to take notice. Brown, was named to the All-WNY Second Team, released last week. Brown, a senior, is committed to play baseball next season at SUNY Fredonia.
In addition, Brown’s batterymate and Brocton co-captain, Jordan Krystofiak, was given All-WNY Honorable Mention.
Also given Honorable Mention was Gowanda senior Tanner Olson, who led the Gowanda Panthers to an appearance in the Section VI, Class B2 finals.
