The 10U Fredonia Bandits, pictured above, defeated the Tomahawks, 9-8, and the Northtown Nationals, 9-8, this past Saturday to become the Ken Griffey Gold Division Champions of the Western NY Premier Baseball Travel League. In the semifinal game against the Tomahawks, Rocco Muscarella and Paul Tabone each threw three strong innings on the mound and combined for nine strikeouts. Ayden Wronski ripped two doubles, while Jackson Stellrecht and Jordan Kelly each went 2-2 with two singles. Ryan Johnson had a 1.000 on base percentage and scored the tying run. Breydon Kuzdale went 1-2 with an RBI and Joseph DiCarlantonio went 1-2, drove in two runs and scored the go-ahead run. In the championship game against the Nationals, Henry Conroy threw three strong innings and struck out five batters. Ayden Wronski pitched two solid innings with two strikeouts and Rocco Muscarella locked down the last inning with two strikeouts. Max Hazelton had a 1.000 on base percentage and scored the go-ahead run, which was driven in on a clutch single by Gavin Piazza.
