Fredonia wins 8-10 Little League crown

Fredonia defeated Falconer 10-0 in four innings to win the District 38 8-10 Little League Championship. Rocco Muscarella pitched all four innings and recorded nine strikeouts on the afternoon. Graham Putney led Fredonia in hitting, going 3-for-3 with three RBI. Max Hazelton knocked home Ryan Johnson for the walk-off victory. Fredonia was held off the scoreboard in the first inning, but had an offensive explosion after that, scoring four runs in the second inning, four runs in the third, and capping it off with the final two tallies in the bottom of the fourth. Fredonia finished with a 5-2 record and won by an average score of 12-6 across all of their games. Fredonia coach Mark Putney expressed after the game how proud he is of all his kids, and how hard they practiced and worked all year, while also noting how the rest of his coaching staff made this championship possible.
