TRZ 5K/10K/Kidz Fun Run held Aug. 24 in Frewsburg

FREWSBURG — The Relief Zone (TRZ) held its seventh annual 5K/10K/Kidz Fun Run on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Frewsburg firemen’s grounds. There were 68 runners who competed in this race. The Frewsburg High School football and cross-country team helped the fundraiser by participating and volunteering to direct traffic along with the Frewsburg Fire Department, track timing and hand out water to the racers. The Town of Carroll Police Department helped by escorting the runners to make sure everyone was safe.

The race had been organized to benefit The Relief Zone, Inc. “We host this race every year nearing the end of summer and it’s always a great fundraiser. Each year we see new and familiar faces who love what TRZ does for the community. We are so thankful for the community we live in that help support such a great cause!” said Lisa Lyon, The Relief Zone executive director.

TRZ and Lisa would like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers and racers who helped make this event such a successful fundraiser. The support they receive from the Frewsburg community truly makes a difference. To learn more about TRZ and future events, visit www.thereliefzone.org.
