Liv Love Run 5K set for Oct. 6

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Cross Country Booster Club, in cooperation with the Silver Creek/Forestville Cross Country Team, is hosting the inaugural “Liv Love Run 5K” on the Silver Creek campus Sunday, Oct. 6.

The community is encouraged to participate in this event in honor of teacher Olivia Coia, who passed away in 2010. The race will celebrate Olivia’s life and contributions, benefit the Olivia Coia Scholarship. The remaining proceeds will benefit the Silver Creek/Forestville Cross Country team to support team equipment, supplies and team building activities. Olivia’s memory lives on at SCCS, where she was a beloved teacher, coach, runner and friend.

Awards will be given to the top three male and females in 10-year age groups.

The run/walk begins at 9 a.m. BUT the packet pickup and race day registration runs from 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. by the high school band door.

Entry fees: Pre-registration: $20 adults/$15 students; Race day registration: $25 adults / $20 students. Please make checks payable to: ‘Liv Love Run 5K’ and mail to c/o DJ Wilson, 13 Jaekle St, Silver Creek, NY 14136.

Course certified by USATF: NY19004JG.

Volunteer opportunities available for individuals, families and clubs.
