HOUGHTON — The Fredonia women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-1 match at Houghton on Tuesday. They lost 18-25, 25-23, 21-25, and 23-25 and drop their overall record to 7-12. Houghton improved to 14-3.

Christie Ackendorf led the Devils with eight kills, and Emily Leone added seven. Bridget Murphy and Kourtney Krchniak had 19 assists each, with Krchniak recording four of the Devils’ 12 aces.

Emma Falk added six kills and six blocks. Emily Jones and Eleanor Clarke each had six kills. Sierra Keim added 16 digs.

Amy Huddle and Brooke Lewandowski combined for 28 kills for the Highlanders.

Fredonia returns to the court this Saturday with a tri-match involving U of R and Susquehanna. The Devils open play with Susquehanna beginning at 11 a.m.
