LAKEWOOD — Southwestern was tied with Fredonia/Silver Creek/Forestville going into the final event of the night before first- and third-place finishes in the 400-yard freestyle relay allowed the Trojans to pull out a 96-90 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association swimming and diving victory.

Grace Wood, Alexis Grijalva, Isabella Grijalva and Natalie Fosberg won the final race by more than 10 seconds.

Wood and Fosberg were individual double winners for the Trojans. Wood took the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.83) and 500-yard freestyle (5:32.71) while Fosberg captured the 50-yard freestyle (25.38) and 100-yard backstroke (1:03.78).

Fredonia/Silver Creek/Forestville’s best event came in the 100-yard butterfly where Amelia Harper (1:06.60), Greta Frerichs and Jenna Truby swept the top-three spots.
