Fredonia’s season ends, lose in three sets to Akron

The Fredonia Hillbillies’ season came to an end on Monday, as they fell to the Akron Tigers in three sets, 25-16, 25-20, 25-15.

Akron was led on the attack by Madison Kaczmerak’s nine kills and seven blocks, while Elsie Logan added three kills and six aces, and Jesse Jonathan had three kills and 17 assists.

Fredonia’s leader on the day was Nagely Vazquez, who had four aces, while Anna Valone had three aces and five kills, and Maddy Marsh added 12 digs.

The Billies’ end their season with a record of 10-8, not including their one post season victory over Roy-Hart last Friday.
