Barmore, Panthers take down Forestville, 86-58

PANAMA – Cameron Barmore tied a Panama record with a career-high 47 points as Panama topped Forestville 86-58 in nonleague boys basketball Monday night.

Barmore scored 11 points in the first quarter and 6 in the second before a 30-point second half that included 12 points in the third quarter and 18 more in the fourth. He was 22 of 43 from the field, including one 3-pointer, and went just two of three from the free throw line.

His 47 points were nine better than his previous career best of 38 which came last Thursday at Pine Valley.

The school record he matched was set by Randy Otander in the 1950s.

Barmore also grabbed 20 rebounds and handed out four assists for the Panthers (2-0). Connor Cooper added 15 points and six assists while Gerrit Hinsdale had 9 points and 13 assists in the win.

Javier West paced Forestville (1-2) with 22 points to go along with five steals while Gavin Christian had 22 points and five assists. Dalton Hastings grabbed 15 rebounds for the Hornets.
