Black Knights open season with big win over Cleveland Hill
CHEEKTOWAGA — The Silver Creek Lady Black Knights (1-0) started the girls basketball season with a big Section VI nonleague victory over Cleveland Hill, 41-24, at Cleveland Hill High School. The Black Knights had seven different players score in the season opener.
Abby Rice led the way for the Black Knights, scoring 21 points, grabbing eight rebounds and getting five blocks. Jaylah Cossin added seven more points, while Kiera Brennan had seven rebounds, and both Phoebe Kingsfield and Chloe Barrett had five rebounds.
The Black Knights are back in action on Wednesday for their home opener as they host North Collins.
