Fredonia's Emily Brown runs in the 3000m at Fredonia State. In the first indoor track meet of the season, Fredonia's Emily Brown won the 3000m run with a time of 10:24; a PR and new school record by more than 30 seconds. This time qualified Brown for the 5K at nationals. Savannah Lashbrook of Fredonia was 2nd in the 3000m in a personal best time of 11:16.34. Savannah also took third in the 1500m in a time of 5:38.19. Ava Cook was 1st in the 55m in 7.88 sec. In the High Jump -- Kelly Lucas took 2nd with a jump of 4′ 8″, Mackenzie Swan was 5th with 4′ 6″, and Abby Lauer was 8th with 4′ 0″
“The team got the season off to a good start. We had a number of great performances from young athletes as well as the veterans," said Fredonia coach Tom Stokes.
