Forestville High School’s Clare Kingsfield (right) recently signed to play softball at Finger Lakes Community College when Finger Lakes head coach Jerry Hoover (left) made an appearance to sign the All-Star shortstop.

Clare is a four-year varsity starter for Forestville’s softball team. After the 2019 season, she was named Fourth Team All-State, All-WNY Honorable Mention for Small Schools, a First Team All-Star for CCAA Div. 2 West, and the team Sportsmanship Award winner. In 2018, Clare also made the First Team All-Stars for CCAA Div. 2 West.

Clare is the daughter of Dolores Hanes and Bill Kingsfield. She plans to major in Fish and Wildlife.
