Fearless Freddie’s Football Forecast

FITTING FINALE. Once the Baltimore Ravens were unmasked as the NFL’s flavor of the month by the Tennessee Titans, it became clear which teams would meet in the Super Bowl.

In my mind, it was then equally clear the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the San Francisco 49ers in that game. That’s largely due to the inescapable fact that when healthy, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the best player in the league.

The AFC champion Chiefs are slightly favored by the oddsmakers, but I think they are wrong. The AFC’s superiority at the elite level will be on full display in this one. As much as I like a nail-biting thriller, expect the Chiefs to dominate.

Freddie sees it this way:

Chiefs 34, 49ers 17

THE TEAM picked to win is listed first, followed by the expected margin of victory. The official Las Vegas odds are in parentheses.
