NEW YORK CITY – The Fredonia Indoor Track Team competed this past weekend at the New Balance Games at the NYC Armory Track. Several Lady ‘Billies had notable performances at the competition.

Savannah Lashbrook finished 30th in the 2 mile varsity race in her personal best time of 12:28.99

Emily Brown brought home a medal, finishing 6th place in the prestigious Invitational Mile in a personal best time and school record time of 5:07.73, which converts to an amazing 4:44.93 1500 meter run.

Ashlyn Ambrose also ran a season best 1:58.20 in the 600m and Gianna Gull threw an impressive 21’ 9″ in the shot put.

“The kids had a great meet,” stated Fredonia Coach Tom Stokes. “Emily’s performance was particularly impressive, but all of them performed well and were able to experience a meet at the world famous Armory Track. The meet and the building have great history and it was fun for our athletes to be able to be a part of it.”
