The Fredonia Hillbillies swim team splashed rival Dunkirk in the pool on Thursday night, 95-63, at Dunkirk High School. Fredonia’s victory over the Marauders was highlighted by the 200 yard Medley Relay team of Finn Frerichs, Matt Brockelbank, Ronan Murphy, and Nick Wittmeyer qualifying for Sectionals with a first place finish in a time of 1:56.27.

Brockelbank and Murphy highlighted the ‘Billies win in the pool as both were triple-winners. Brockelbank won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 54.49 and the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:09.83, while Murphy won the 200 IM with a time of 2:28.41 and the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:04.84.

Dunkirk was led by two double-winners in Steven Zentz and Adam Fred. Zentz won the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:13.62, while Fred won the 50 Freestyle with a time 24.93 and both hand their hand in on the 400 Freestyle Relay win along with Owen Bates and Josiah Cox for a time of 3:52.16.
