Lady Cougars beat Lady Pirates, 54-24

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars (7-6, 3-2) earned a big Section VI CCAA Division 2 West girls basketball victory over Clymer, 54-24, at Cassadaga Valley High School on Tuesday night.

The Lady Cougars were all over Clymer (7-7, 1-4) in the dominant league victory. Meghan LeBaron and Mckenzie Haskins led the Lady Cougars with 12 points, LeBaron added 13 rebounds, five assists and three steals. Haskins got all of her points in the second quarter from beyond the arc. Kaylee Pattyson also had a double-double in the effort with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Clymer was led by Alexys Neckers with 11 points and two steals.

Cassadaga Valley is back in action tonight when they host Catt-Little Valley.

Frewsburg 62, Westfield/Brocton 34

BROCTON — Mikayla Gabalski-Jones scored 11 of her 17 points from the free throw line as Frewsburg got by Westfield/Brocton, 62-34, in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West girls basketball Tuesday.

The Bears (10-5, 2-3) went 23 of 29 from the free throw line as a team.

Amanda Dilts added 10 points and six rebounds while Kaylee Constantino also grabbed six rebounds in the win. Reagan Chitester also had four steals.

Juli Smith led the Wolverines (5-10, 0-5) with 10 points while Katie Bodenmiller blocked six shots and Laura Johnston had six rebounds.
