Silver Creek sweeps Maple Grove

HANOVER — The Silver Creek Black Knights boys and girls bowling teams made quick work of the Maple Grove Red Dragons at Hanover Lanes on Tuesday, each with a 4-0 sweep.

The Silver Creek boys (9-1) posted a linescore of 878-819-874-2,571, compared to Maple Grove’s 664-617-572-1,853. The Black Knights were led by Jeff DeBergalis with a remarkably consistent series of 193-193-192-578. Zach Barlette-Dye had the high game of 203 for Silver Creek, along with a 193 game and a 566 series. Daniel Paterson added games of 192 and 190 in a 528 series.

Maple Grove (1-10) was led by Ryan Samuelson with a score of 180-146-432, while Willie Pavlock had a linescore of 144-142-419.

The Silver Creek girls (6-2-1) earned their sweep with a score of 544-572-574-1,690, while Maple Grove countered with a score of 326-398-381-1,105. Emily Barlette-Dye led Silver Creek with a 201 game and a 485 series. Laneya Olsen had games of 171 and 153 in a 457 series, while Briana Kenjockety added games of 167 and 140 in a 446 series.

The Red Dragons (0-9) were led by a pair of 319 series scores, from Jessica Wozniak and Liz Quadt.

The Silver Creek boys will face Brocton’s co-ed team today at Lucky Lanes, while the Silver Creek girls get the day off.

Jamestown 4, Chautauqua Lake 0

JAMESTOWN — The Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds boys and girls bowling teams were swept 4-0 by Jamestown in Tuesday night. Both Thunderbirds teams remain winless overall this season.

The Jamestown boys (8-1) were led by Colton Cappalino’s high game of 221 and a 511 series score, along with Riley Piazza’s 524 high series, featuring games of 187 and 177. Jack Christensen also added a 175 game for the Red Raiders, who posted a linescore of 854-767-785-2,406.

Chautauqua Lake (0-10) posted a linescore of 505-466-535-1,506. Andrew Boland had their high series of 106-127-119-352, while Kristian Snyder was second on the team with a series of 115-103-120-338.

The Jamestown girls (5-3) were led by Abbie Derby with a series of 188-150-195-533. Emily Ryberg was next in the scoring with games of 172 and 193 in a 504 series. Ashlin Nelson was third on the team with a 421 series, including games of 157 and 150. Jamestown posted a linescore of 613-693-697-2,003.

Chautauqua Lake (0-8) was led by Haylee Falco’s 292 series. Her high game of 102 tied teammate Donna Hamrick for the highest score on the team. Chautauqua Lake posted a linescore of 387-431-447-1,265.
