BROCTON — The Sherman Wildcats found a decisive victory over the Brocton Bulldogs on Friday night, walking out with a 67-39 victory.

The Bulldogs trailed 35-22 at half time, seemingly having the momentum after hitting a buzzer beater heading into the break, but the third quarter fell apart for Brocton. Sherman dominated the third en route to the victory, outscoring the Bulldogs 25-9 in the third frame to pull way ahead.

Brocton (2-7, 1-4) was led by Ryan Laurito with nine points, while Seth McFadden had seven. Despite the rocky road, Bulldogs coach Collin Mulcahy is proud of the progress his team has made.

“I’m very proud of our younger guys,” Mulcahy said. “I had two sophomores and juniors play tonight. I like the progress our underclassmen are making.”
