Sherman downs Pine Valley at Fredonia State

FREDONIA — The Pine Valley boys basketball (7-13, 2-8) finished up its regular season play with a Section VI nonleague game against Sherman (11-8, 8-6) at Fredonia State University on Saturday. The Wildcats were able to defeat the Panthers with ease as they won big, 62-34.

Sherman was led by Gerald Carris with 31 points and five steals, Justiss Hannold added 12 points and Keith Gormley had nine rebounds and Richard Burgess had eight rebounds.

Pine Valley’s effort was led by Wayne Libby with 14 points and Dawson Harrington added 12.

The Panthers next matchup will be in the Section VI Class D playoffs on Feb. 28 and is looking like it will be against the Panthers rivals the Forestville Hornets.
