Steelers Squirts win Mid-Winter Classic

The NCCYHA Fredonia Steelers 10U Squirt team was recently crowned tournament champions of the Jamestown Mid-Winter Classic from Feb. 15-17. The Steelers went undefeated in pool play by defeating Jamestown 8-1, Perinton 7-2, and Batavia 8-0. In the championship game, the Steelers defeated Perinton 5-2. Brendan Worczak stood strong in net, allowing only five goals throughout the tournament. The offense featured nine different goal scorers with Ayden Wronski and Emmett Williams leading the charge. It was the second tournament title for the team this season, previously winning the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights tournament in November.
