The 2020 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men’s ice hockey awards have been nominated and voted on by the conference coaches. Fredonia State’s Charlie Manley was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Manley was a crucial part of the Fredonia defense that held its conference opponents to 51 goals during the 2019-20 campaign. Manley was also a contributor to the offense this season tallying 17 points on 10 goals and seven assists. While Manley was a scoring defenseman all year, his play was also backed up by relentless toughness, with 15 blocks in his senior year he helped his goaltenders reach a .912 save percentage during the 2019-20 season.
